Two Poems

by Tom Minkler

Leaves blow
so does time
why do birds
fly into
windows
and why can't i
rhyme
when i
feel blue
like you
do, don't you?
Who are "they,"
and why do they
say
anything
and who
cares what time
it is.
Is it?
Who are we
and why do we need
to know?

Love.
Die.

Love

Soft Lips
so slowly part.
Warm sigh
escapes your heart.
Silky fingers seem
forever
to caress
a shadow
strong and sweet
thou art
no less.

I melt
into your flesh
and emptiness.
My soul escapes
from lips
into your
kiss.

Forever
in a moment;
such is this.

Two
are one
is all
in
rapture;

Bliss.
