The Qur'an

Samples of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Edited by Tom Minkler

Later on I'll include many more samples and divide them according to those which seem good vs. bad,
or rather positive vs. negative, helpful vs. not.
Here are some "good" ones (or those most like what Christianity is supposed to be, to love your neighbor as yourself):

Can someone please tell me where all this hatred comes from?  Of course we can see the same type of self-righteous fundamental viciousness rear its ugly head in Christianity.  The tragedy of 9/11 taught us that FUNDAMENTALISM is EVIL.  It's one thing to believe that the way you believe is right.  It's another to believe that everybody who disagrees with you is totally without merit, and there is no other valid point of view.  And it's yet another thing to try to force everyone else to not only behave exactly the way you think they should, but to force them to believe the way you do too.  Anyone who believes their way is the only way and tries to get others to conform and agree by force, has no place in society.  And anyone who doesn't agree with this opinion of mine should be shot.
