Möbius staff and immediate relatives are not eligible to enter the contest nor for a Pushcart Prize nomination by Möbius. Möbius editorial staff will judge The Dr. Zylpha Mapp Robinson Poetry Award. We seek imaginative, innovative, image-driven, HIGH QUALITY poetry. Poems can be serious and thought-provoking, metaphorical, HUMOROUS, surreal… We welcome all poetic forms, but encourage free verse, Sestina, haiku, tanka. Categories (Poets suggest category): • Family & Relationships NO EROTICA, NO OBSCENE LANGUAGE, NO RACIAL SLURS, NO VERY LONG POEMS. Submission of Poetry: Inside the U.S. THE EDITORS ALL POETS U.S. and abroad MAY SEND POEMS & 35-WORD BIOS AS EMAIL WORD ATTACHMENTS. NAME, ADDRESS, TEL. AND EMAIL ADDRESS MUST APPEAR ON EACH POEM. Outside the U.S. Submissions will not be returned unless SASE with correct postage is enclosed if you wish to be notified about poems or want poems returned. Include EMAIL. Format: Submit poems: • Computer Generated or Typed (NO hand printed or handwritten poems will be accepted) • The Editorial staff expects CORRECT SPELLING and CORRECT PUNCTUATION, if punctuated • NO previously published poems • NO simultaneous submissions • There’s a 50–Line Limit • 56–Character Limit per line. Poets’ Biographies: • Please send your Biography 35 words or less. Include 2 publishing credits if possible in 35 words. IMPORTANT: Include your NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE, E-MAIL on EACH POEM and Cover letter (Letter optional). Other: • Mobius acquires first rights; rights revert to poet after publication. • Upon publication, contributor receives ONE free copy of MÖBIUS. MÖBIUS is available in the FALL. |
