Bonnie is a member the National Flute Association and the Flute Club of New York.  She performs with the St. Raphaela Wind Capella, which gives concerts in Long Island, and Manhattan.  She can also be heard at the Hudson Valley Society for Music's "Potluck Concerts", in Cornwall, NY.

 

Bonnie is a 2003 graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music in England, where she received her Master of Music degree and  a special diploma in Professional Performance (Artist's Diploma).  At the College of Music, she studied with Peter Lloyd, former principal of the London Symphony Orchestra.  Bonnie earned her Bachelor’s in Music Performance in 2001 from the University of Louisville, studying with Kathleen Karr, principal of the Louisville Orchestra. 

 

She was a 2005 finalist in the NY Flute Club's Young Artist Competition.  She has also performed concertos with the United States Military Academy Band in New York (1997), and the University of Louisville Symphony Orchestra in Kentucky (2000). 

 

While in England, she was a member of the Carter Wind Quartet, which won the Trevor Wye Chamber Music Award and the RNCM Woodwind Chamber Competition.  The Carter Quartet was also a finalist in the London Philharmonia’s Martin Musical Scholarship Competition.
