Welcome to our web site! My name is Mary Ellen and my dance name is MarieElena. I started Belly Dancing in 1994 and have been actively teaching the dance for the past 7 years. I teach for the Torrance Unified Adult School System and have classes every Thursday evening. Students have said "it is the most fun class in the South Bay Area" (select "Classes and Activities" link). I also teach a small class at Celebrate Life in Torrance, and L.A.County Service Center in San Pedro, and private lessons. Check out the links below for more info. I performed as a soloist and also with "Juliette's Mid East Dance Review" for six years before directing a Belly Dance Troupe on my own called "Blossoms of the East". We perform in and around the South Bay (CA) area for private, public, and special events.
