Welcome to our web site! My name is Mary Ellen and my dance name is MaraLena. I started Belly Dancing in 1994 and have been actively teaching the dance for the past 7 years. I teach for the Torrance Unified Adult School System and have classes every Thursday evening. Students have said "it is the most fun class in the South Bay Area" (select "Classes and Activities" link). I performed as a soloist and with "Juliette's Mid East Dance Review" for six years before directing a Belly Dance Troupe on my own called "Blossoms of the East". We perform in and around the South Bay (CA) area for private, public, and special events.
