Mission
The Center
For People with Disabilities, a project of the Center For People with Disabilities, Inc., is a non-profit Center focusing
on specific areas of interest pertaining to people with disabilities. The
Center has begun operation of four of the planned Institutes at this point in time.
They are: The Jewish Institute For People with Disabilities, The Space Institute for People with Disabilities, The
Civil Rights - Advocacy Institute for People with Disabilities, and the Education
Institute for People with Disabilities. The Aged-Disabled Institute for
People with Disabilities will be open as soon as possible.
The Institute
For Jews with Disabilities focuses on the healthcare, social services, economic, and/or geopolitical needs of Jews with disabilities. Related Page 1.
The Space Institute
For People with Disabilities consists of a Technology Transfer Program for People with Disabilities and a Space Program for
People with Disabilities. They are currently viewed as interconnected
and cannot exist seperately without each other. The Space Program for People
with Disabilities itself began in 1968 as the Disabled Astronaut Initiative and
from 1992 through January 31, 2003 as Project DAISI. Related Page 2.
The Education
Institute For People with Disabilities, offering original displays of information and content based instruction, will have
two primary areas of focus: access to education for individuals with disabilities and educational training, diversity and
instruction for same. This Institute is designed more for non-profit organization's,
as well as public school systems, colleges and universities involved in serving the Educational needs of people with disabilities,
especially from an Educator's perspective, in terms of the desires and needs of students with disabilities and their families.
We will be
available for presentations currently under development to public and private schools and/or school systems on topics that
we will first publish either online and/or in print. We believe that Education
is of paramount importance for everyone, especially to students with special learning needs.

We will advocate on behalf of
people with disabilities at our own discretion, and maintain the right to do so at any time and for any reason. It is our mission to exist to serve what we see to be the unmet needs of people with disabilities
