Final Results and Scenes

Using MeshPaint to generate complex appearances on objects, one can use them to populate virtual environments.

1. Cave Scene:

The Cave Scene shows how complex stone surfaces can be created using MeshPaint's stone brush.

2. Grass pasture with all the cast members:

Each of the above scenes contains nearly 1 million triangles and was rendered interactively using OpenGL on a Sun workstation. MeshPaint was used paint each of the objects and to place the objects interactively in the scene. A scene graph format was made to read in voxel geometry file format that MeshPaint outputs. This scene graph format allows arbitrarily complicated scenes to be created.
