This is a 1993 Mustang, put out to pasture by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
I Purchased it in 1997, June (My 40th birthday gift to me!).
As you see it is how I bought it.
The CHP removes all of the emergency equipment (Like radio, spot lights and gun rack), but none of the original performance equipment.
I have been having trouble getting parts and service due to the car's mystique. I recently asked a shop in Costa Mesa, CA
to give me a price for rebuilding the engine as well as Blueprint and Balance, but was told they couldn't do it.
The reason was that the car had a special high performance Cam
and the car would never pass SMOG Requirements. He explained that they were a
California Smog Station and could not work on a car that couldn't pass. I checked with the Highway Patrol and they tell me this is bunk! This is why I made this page. I want an exchange of information with those that know and hopefully others with similar cars.
