This Web Quest was developed to enrich and complement the
instruction and studio components in Art Class for the 7th and 8th Grades at
Holy Rosary School - Claymont, Delaware USA.
GOALS
Technology
 | To familiarize the students with research on the
world wide web. |
| To improve skills using website (database) search
engines. |
| To learn to navigate, read, and understand a
website. |
| To encourage students to use reference (dictionary)
search engines and websites. |
Art
| To introduce the students to the montage art form. |
| To compel students to carefully observe the properties and nuances of a
work of art. |
| To familiarize the students with at least two art exemplars and their
artists. |
| To introduce the students to art museums and collections. |
| To help students understand the actual physical properties of a given work
of art. |
General
| To encourage cooperation between partners. |
| To learn to make a final professional report. |
| To practice following directions. |
| To hone the students' analytical skills. |
| To be able to translate information from the whole (the artwork) to a part
(the montage poster) to a number (the diagram). |
| To have fun while learning! |
