My stolen Mariner Elan has been recovered.  Thanks to all of you who wrote to your clubs describing the kayak and to all of you who kept a look out for it on the water.

If you've been here before check out the "What's New" section.  Otherwise please browse the entire site.

Kayaking is an important part of my life.  One of the best parts of kayaking is sharing experiences with other kayakers.  Hopefully this site will allow me to share my paddling experiences with kayakers whom I might otherwise never meet and entice them into sharing some of their experiences with me.  Perhaps it will even tempt some non-kayakers to try this wonderful activity.

This site is oriented towards sea-kayaking, kayak touring, and kayak surfing.  However canoeists and white-water paddlers may find some of the information useful and entertaining,

My home paddling area is Corpus Christ, Tx.  It's on the Gulf of Mexico about 200 miles south of Houston and 150 miles north of the Mexican border.  We enjoy year round kayaking in the Gulf, in several nearby bays, along 3 coastal rivers and in some 35+ miles of the Upper Laguna Madre.  The Padre Island National Seashore and the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge provide miles of wilderness shoreline and great opportunities for wildlife viewing.

Please contact me to share your kayaking experiences.  Send me links to your favorite kayaking websites, pictures, and stories.  Also please let me know of any suggestions or corrections for improving this site.
