On my way to Arches National Park I stopped in Coyote Buttes.

The Buttes are BLM land, mostly just south of the Utah border.

I couldn't get a permit for the north end. It's very popular and reservations fill up months in advance. But the southern part of the Buttes has some beautiful formations.

I was able to camp right on the Utah/Arizona border.
