A fine Box-of-Merit is not unlike a palace in miniature. It requires a creative architect who is guided by his finely-honed skills and knowledge of engineering,
and a master craftsman who can take the visions, sketches, and renderings and bring to life an extraordinary work: A regal
Box-of-Merit that will withstand the challenges and scrutiny of time.
Stones, tiles, mortar and stained glass
equate to gold, platinum, solder and enamel in the construction of this palatial box, and Master Goldsmith Philip Peck must take on many roles. He must create the masonry, molding and trim by hand from 18 Karat Gold and Platinum; he will glaze its
windows with the finest High-Fire Vitreous Enamel; and he will lay down its immaculately tiled 18 karate Gold roof.
As a royal dwelling is designed and engineered to reflect the noble aspects of its inhabitants, to that degree this
Box-of-Merit, in all its facets, is meant to represent the character, ideals, and aspirations of its owner: four custom plaques representing Truth;, Courage, Honor, and Courage are flanked by trophy panels representing
Justice, Religion, Industry, and Hunting. The crowning glory is, of course, the
family coat of arms floating on a field of brilliant blue enamel.
Each box is a museum piece… as unique as its owner.
