Primal images of Flora and Fauna have always been used to celebrate
beauty and power. Mitchell-Peck bows to tradition in choosing the Lion and the Acanthus to decorate one of our most dramatic
suites in sterling silver and 18 karat yellow gold.
Lions have long been a symbol
of power and leadership and our "Suite of Lions" is not for the faint of heart. Seven
stations mark this significant collar, each bearing a sculptural relief of a magnificent roaring lion in a handsome, engraved
box frame.
The
Acanthus, introduced into the decorative arts by the Ancient Greeks, and brought to a zenith by the Romans, has never ceased
to be a font of inspiration for the arts- found time and time again in elements of Western style. Here, the florals
create a circle of ornamentation, and serve to frame the finest faceted square-cut Garnets and Citrines.
