MHS IN DESPERATE NEED OF YOUR
HELP
Due to hard economic hardships, the Missaukee Humane Society is finding itself full at capacity with
homeless pets. Many forced to be surrendered by their loving homes, we here at MHS are having difficulty with the addtional
numbers. With over 30 dogs, and over 50 cats and kittens. Veterinary costs, etc are climbing. We here at
MHS are strong believers in having all adoptable pets altered prior to adoption. With new pets arriving daily, we are
seeing trouble in continuing this effort.
With the no-kill policy for adoptable pets, where no pet is euthanized due to lack of space, we do
not receive financial support from Federal, State or County government. We rely solely on the donations of food, supplies
and financial contributions to survive and help the homeless pets in our area. As a result of massive unemployment and
ecnonomic turmoil, our donations have plumetted to an all time low.
We are in desperate need of additional supporters. Whether it is helping paying the bills such
as Heating, Electric, or Veterinary costs. To continue to care for the needs of the many homeless animals we assist,
we ask for your help. Whether you can send $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, $50.00, $100.00 or more. A
Anything will help, and the homeless animals will greatly appreciate it.

Wake Up with the Critters:
With MHS and Mix 96.7
The Missaukee Humane Society is pleased to announce the partnership between the Humane organization and
Cadillac's very own radio station Mix 96.7, in an effort to place adoptable animals into loving homes. Each week, between
8:00 am and 8:30 am, during Mix 96's Rich Spicer's morning show, several featured adoptable pets will be broadcasted throughout
Northern Michigan.
