Revision Notes:
1. The earliest generally available version of Lesson 9 is typewritten. It bears the typewritten date of (Tuesday), June 3, 1969.
2. The earliest available version of Lesson 9 contains three handwritten editing notes. The fifth sentence of the second paragraph was originally typed, "Each little step will clear a little of the darkness away, and understanding will finally come to lighten every corner of the mind which has been cleared of the debris which darkens it."
The word "little" in this sentence was marked through and a question mark was handwritten in the right margin. "Little" was changed to "small" in the published version. The first "which" in this sentence was marked through and "that" was handwritten above it. The second "whcih" shows no editing mark on the typewritten original. In the published version, each "whcih" has been changed to "that".
On the typewritten version the examples, ["I do not see this typewriter as it is now," etc.] were typed on a separate page, with a handwritten note to insert them in the location as published.
The sentence which reads "Begin with things that are nearest you, and then extend the range outward:" in the published version originally did not include the word "outward."
