Revision Notes:
1. The earliest generally available version of Lesson 1 is typewritten. It is dated (Monday), May 26, 1969.
2. The earliest available version of Lesson 1 did not include the last paragraph containing the specific instructions for practice, which reads:
"Each of the first three lessons should not be done more than twice a day each, preferably morning and evening. Nor should they be attempted for more than a minute or so, unless that entails a sense of hurry. A comfortable sense of leisure is essential."
It is not known when, or by whom, this paragraph was added before the 1975 version was published.
