New Business:
Elections:
- 1st VP (field) George McCann was nominated, seconded, and passed.
- 3rd VP (membership) Bonnie Brandon was elected to another term.
- Secretary Diane Hedstrom was elected to another term
- Diane made a motion that the club have an associate membership for $12 for people who
are already members in another ABC club & would like to join our club. Seconded, passed
- Steve reported on the grounds at Langhei Hills. He's looking into the possibility of
the MN club trial being there this fall, followed by the St Croix trial one week later. In between he's checking on
the feasibilty of running an hour championship stake. That will depend on whether we get commitments from pros to attend.
We then adjourned to give out awards.
After a delicious pot luck dinner, the meeting was called to order by Hal Revoir.
Members present: Hal Revoir, Steve Ralph, Cindy McCann, Eileen Gust, Amy & Dave Pluth, Diane & BruceHedstrom.
Steve reported on the upcoming year. He needs
to have someone be chairman for the fall trial and has asked George McCann.
Grounds were discussed:
- The Four Brooks grounds would be big
enough for a walking trial.
- The Glenwood grounds are not available
during hunting season.
- Cindy is taking a Wildlife Recreation
Class & is working on obtaining grounds in Spirit Lake, Iowa – these are owned by Waste Management & border
DNR land.
Diane brought up the upcoming
insurance premium. Costs are going up to approximately $750. If we would go with a closed barrel option, we could change plans & it would cost us approximately
$331. It was decided that we would go with that option since we aren’t
running a hunt test at this time.
A club web page & e-mail will be set up through Diane’s Earthlink account.
It was suggested that the club go back to having a booth at Game Fair & have a fun run
as ways to bring members out to club functions & obtain new members.
The banquet & upcoming election were discussed.
Meeting
adjourned.
