I was born in Michigan so I had an early exposure to water living on the great lakes.  I've owned many boats including a 18 foot Buccaneer Sailboat which my son Ricki and I enjoyed so much that I now own the CM30 and Ricki has a Cordoba 26".

I've turned back to the salt as Buffet would say. The "ALOHA BANKS" is to be the first step in my desire to move off dry land and enjoy the warm waters of the Caribbean and the Mexican Rivera. I have 10 years then I can start thinking of retirement from the toils of manufacturing

More to come as I develop my Blog

About this blog

The next few pages are going to be a collage of pictures creating a pictorial essay of the tribulations in taking on a project like this. At times I have asked the question why anyone would want to do this and the answer kept coming back the same,,, Your Nuts!. Not really just deranged a little. Ricki found the Clipper for me and the price was so right that we both agreed it was too good to pass up. On our motor power sail from Newbern to Washington we both realized there were many plusses to the CM30 but some major minuses. To face those minus features would simply require a simple move of the Head, Nautical bathroom. Here it all started
