Welcome to The "ALOHA BANKS" Clipper Marine 30 Web Page!
This web-blog is my online journal of the refitting project on my CM30 Clipper Marine Sailboat. You'll find
a variety of topics on the actual refitting as well as links to other sites on the web that I have found helpfull in
the project.
Here "She" is. This is the boat sitting in her slip on Karr Lake. The boat is now 90% complete. My ne goal
is to have her ready for the spring cruise sailing season.
Returning from Mexico
this month I was ready to get to work on the boat. I guess it was the fact that the application for Immigration has finally
been submitted, what ever it was I sure got a lot done. The cabinet doors and the cabin doors are completed except for the
5 coats of varnish which is being put on nightly in my house. The Dinette is completed as far as wood work and only requires
Stain, varnish and cushions. Did I say done? It’s relative.
This is where it all started with Ricki
and me putting his boat in the water and taking mine out. At least the refit. Notice the cradle on the car hauler Ricki designed
and built to move his boat from Maryland to Raleigh with boat unseen.
That’s Ricki's Ford F350 full size diesel pulling the CM30 on our 27’ sailboat trailer.
