Pistol Scopes

Selecting a pistol scope is much more complex than rifle scope.  Because it has shorter range, most scopes have little to no magnification factor.  In more cases, illuminated reticle is added for a quick aim.  Furthermore, Laser devices are also popular with pistol shooters for the same exact reason.  It is harder to locate the laser dot during day light.

C-More 990811cmo.jpg (13312 bytes)  Base on the fighter jet aiming technology, a red dot is seen floating in a thin piece of glass when target is the line of fire.  Very quick target acquisition and easy to aim.  Made in USA, retail $350.

Trijicon ACOG Reflex 990811aog.jpg (20337 bytes)  Similar to C-More but even more compact.  Build in long term energy source for the illumination.  The dot is in orange color and not as bright as C-More, therefore it is harder to aim.  Made in USA, retail $200.

Bushnell 2-6x36mm 990811bush.jpg (11124 bytes)  This is a hunting scope which is suitable for pistol capable of hitting target up to 200 yards.  Good clarity and easy to aim with at rest.  I mount it on Thomson Center .223 Cal with 10" barrel.  100 yards group from rest position is about 4".  Made in USA, retail $180.

BSA RD30 990811bsa.jpg (26077 bytes)  Tubular type with illuminated red dot.  It is a good bargain and fairly easy to see the dot.  Made in China, retail $50.
