Christmas in Panama! In December 2003, we flew Copa Airlines to Panama City, rented a car, and spent three lovely weeks visiting the islands, beaches, and volcanoes of the western
provinces.
Mimi had lived in the former Canal Zone from 1954 to 1965, attending fifth
grade through junior college while her dad was employed with the Panama Canal Company. Howard's first visit, and Mimi's
first return, was in 1999 with Condor Outfitters and included Panama City, Coronado, the canal area, and Portobelo.
