Cowabunga!

It's Alex's Web Page!

This page represents a very small slice of a very short life.

My Hobbies

After a hard day at kindergarten, I raced cars, flew planes, and tamed wild horses.

I also enjoyed watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on TV!

The Doobie Brothers

These guys are called Doobie Brothers. I don't think they are really related. They play every year in the cafeteria at Childrens Hospital at Stanford. The picture at the right is me dancing with my friends.

My Mom

This is me and my mom on my 5th birthday. Her name is Renee. She is a pretty special mom. We did a lot of scary things together. She could find Chicken McNuggets for me, even in the middle of the night! And she was always there to hold me.

So What the Heck Happened?

Alexander David Miller left us on May 7, 1991. He was just 5 years old; the victim of a disease that medical science has yet to totally conquer. Those who suffer from it call it the beast, but it's more commonly referred to as cancer.

The kind of cancer Alex had is called an ependymoma. It's pretty rare. Your odds of winning the lottery are better. He was treated for two and half years at Children's Hospital at Stanford University Medical Center.
