One of my longtime hobbies has been radio scanning and short-wave listening. My primary interest is monitoring military aviation, but I also listen to public safety, Federal government and general aviation. I am also a licensed Amateur Radio operator, KE4FFB. But my primary interest remains on monitoring.

KSC Integrated Communication System 400 MHz trunked (Motorola P25). This includes Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS), Patrick AFB and the Air Force Malabar Annex.

The primary HF equipment includes a Kenwood R-5000 and R-2000. The antenna's are a PAR Electronics EF-SWL and a longwire. HF computer software includes PC-ALE, PC-HFDL and HFFAX.
The primary scanners are a BCD996T, BC-780XLT and BC-895XLT. Computer software includes ScanRec, IDTracker, ACARSD and WXSat. Handheld scanners include BCD396T, BC-250D, BC-246T and a Pro-97. The antennas are a Scantenna and various ground planes.
