About Canvas Prints

These gallery-wrapped canvas prints are not intended to simulate oil paintings, but are high-quality photographic images printed on real canvas, and stretched around a wooden frame, in the same manner as an oil painting. The image continues around the edge of the framework, producing a three-dimensional quality and dispensing with the need for any additional framing or glazing, although these prints may be framed if desired. The texture of the canvas imparts a subtle, yet singular fine-art quality to the image not to be found in paper-based prints. Their lightweight and the absence of glazing make them suitable for hanging in places where one might hesitate to hang a physically heavy framed-and-glazed piece of artwork, such as over a bed.
