My favorite race from fantasy literature (especially JRR Tolkein's "The Lord of the Rings") were the elves. These slender humanoids are a powerful magical race and fearsome warriors. The wood elves, in particular, are incredibly skilled with the bow -- so a large portion of the army in HOTT will be classified as Shooters. For melee troops, they employ bands of spearmen, as well as cavalry (Riders or Knights). They also have Heroes and Magicians in their ranks. And they are able to call upon Treemen, or Ents, to join them in battle (fighting as Behemoths in HOTT rules).
This army was originally built for another set of fantasy miniatures rules by a company called Chipco. So, it contains many, many more figs than needed for your average HOTT army. I would estimate I have more than enough figs for three normal sized HOTT armies.
