It really took this long for the FBI to
investigate the Boy Scouts and their reported membership numbers? I'm surprised, this is a common practice by local councils to increase their funding and donations. During Randall v. Boy Scouts of America, Orange County Council, Inc. We uncovered numerous troops which were formed (or according to one scout master "given") to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Every young boy who belonged to the church was signed up, but the meeting were far and few between.
In Alabama, the FBI is investigating the Boy Scouts as it appears a few local councils were inflating the rolls with scouts named "Doe." In one instance a list of 20 names all with the same last name of "Doe" appeared on the roster of a scouting program. According to a volunteer (who is also an eagle scout) the rolls appeared to be padded so the Greater Alabama Council could receive a larger slice of United Way funding.
The Scouts are doing a fine job in training the leaders of tomorrow: Lie, Cheat, and Steal your way to the top. This truly is a far cry from "Trustworthy."
