• The GOOGLE just might be the new best searcher!
• Digital's AltaVista search engine for the Web AND UseNet! Good one(!).
• The Lycos Search engine.
• Excite Netsearch can also search the web, usenet, classifieds.
• The Open Text Index
• Do a Yahoo Search now or go to Yahoo's HomePage, adv. search (usenet)
• And the WebCrawler search utility.
• DejaNews UseNet search/query/filter searches huge database of USENET messages. Also lets you browse UseNet groups that your ISP may not carry. Good one.
• Index listing the TLD's (Top Level Domains) of the world.

Phone numbers:

• Switchboard is search database for your friends - apparently based on the phone book. Hop to Switchboard's Find a Person page, Reverse lookup page.
• The BigBook Directory Search from GTE is an online yellow pages - good one.
• WhoWhere searches for your friends - only fair. (Lycos now)
• The Four11 White Page Directory is now Yahoo! People Search - a place to look for your friends, and register your email address and URL.

• The U.S. Postal Service runs a neat WWW site that you can use to look up rate information and more, or look up a Zip Code (full 9 digit ZIP+4).
• Canadian Postal Code lookup.
• Parcel tracking from Federal Express or United Parcel Service (UPS)

Lotto:

• Washington State Lotto results can be found online here.
• The BC lottery results are online.

Encyclopedia online:
