Galveston Tag Results (3 fish tagged):
 
Tag 1 - Angler, Mathew Rodriguez - fish attacked by sharks after release.
Tag 2 - Capt. Jake Reaves - fish attacked by sharks after release.
Tag 3 - Capt. Jake Reaves - fish was at large for 50 days before being attacked by a shark.  Tag popped up on October 8th at Port O'Connor.
 
Port O'Connor Tag Results (6 fish tagged):
 
Tags 1-2 and 5-6 - popped off within a couple days.  One of them was the exprimental spot tag placed in the fish's dorsal fin.  The fish survived and the tag came off early - 40 miles south of Port Aransas on September 15th.  At least one of the other early releases was due to a shark attack.
 
Tag 3 - Caught by Jim Farley's Team, popped off on schedule on January 30th, just south of Tampico, Mexico.
 
Tag 4 - Caught by Capt. James Pinter's Team, popped off on schedule on January 15th, slightly farther north than where Tag 3 popped off.
 
Port Isabel Tags (1 fish tagged):
 
Tag - by Charles Park Team, popped off early on November 1st near Tampico, Mexico.
 
 
Many of the tags that experienced early release can be reused this year.
