For the 21 years I have lived in Brevard County, my goal has been to make life less difficult and improve the quality of life for us all.

I have been chosen by the Brevard County Commission to serve on 2 Charter Review Commissions. As a group, we analyzed every aspect of our county, eliminated one amendment that proved ineffective, generated new amendments and placed them on the ballot. This was a year-long, time-consuming process, requiring extensive research and great personal commitment.

I have served on the Redistricting Committee that evaluates Commission Districts and determines any recommended changes. This elite committee meets once every 10 years.

I have been a Member of the Parrish Medical Center Board of Directors for the past 8 years. This board deals with all financial business, land acquisition, medical equipment procurement, employment issues, pension systems, and investment decisions. In fact, the executive, financial and managerial administration of the Medical Center is entirely the direct responsibility of the Board of Directors

I was instrumental in forming the Port St. John Planning & Zoning Board, as well as the referendums (that passed by a majority of Port St. John residents) for a Community Center, Space Coast Community Sports Complex, and the purchase of Fay Lake Park. In fact, this park purchase served as an example for the county to utilize for all other Parks & Recreation referendums.

I have appeared hundreds of times before city, county, and state elected officials on many diverse issues and have been effective in changing policy.

I have led multiple organizations, committees and study groups.

I understand leadership.

I have no hidden agenda. I have never benefited by my community advocacy in any way, other than trying to make life easier for us all.

There is not another candidate running for District 1 County Commissioner that has my record of dedication to the community.

When I was 17 and stubbornly refused to go to college, my father said his only wish was that I would be a successful human being. All my life I have fought for the underdog and have always been an advocate for the people; I know my father would have been proud. Help me get in a position to do more for you…and I will.
