While attempting to smuggle drugs into US,
Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila was shot in the buttocks while fleeing
border guards Jose Alonso Compean & Ignacio Ramos.
Via US Attorney John Sutton & District Court Judge Kathleen Cordone,
both agents were convicted & sentenced to over 10 years in prison
each for shooting Aldrete, not reporting the incident & covering it up.
Aldrete was given immunity to testify against the agents.
He then sued for $5 million, claiming his constitutional rights
as an illegal alien were violated.
