FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH

I don't consider me- superstitious.
I never think of me- in those terms.
When it comes to black cats & silly things like that,
there're more important things that I have learned.
I don't go walking be-neath a ladder:
there might be painters up there falling down.
Broken mirrors don't stress: I just pick up the mess.
And spilling salt's not even worth a frown.
No, FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH doesn't bother me at all.
It's Saturday the Fourteenth that drives me up a wall.
Then, Sunday the Fifteenth I really start to crack.
By Monday the Sixteenth I'm a totally nervous wreck.
I don't mind opening umbrellas inside.
I'm never frightened by the thirteenth floor.
I don't knock- on wood because it does no good.
But there is one thing bugs me so much more:
CHORUS
A rabbit's foot didn't seem too lucky for the rabbit.
How would it help me fare any better than the hare?
CHORUS
