Attach printed PDFs to Entourage messages automatically

OS X has “print to PDF” functionality built-in. In the latest versions of OS X, the PDF button in the Print dialog reveals a menu of functions that do things with the PDF once it’s created. It’s easy to add a menu item that will create the PDF and automatically attach it to a new Entourage message.

In the Finder, go to /Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/, and locate the “Microsoft Entourage” icon. Single-click the icon, and then go to File > Make Alias. Rename the alias “Send PDF using Microsoft Entourage”. Drag the alias to /Library/PDF Services/. Now, when you are in the print dialog ready to create a PDF, click the “PDF” button, and select “Send PDF using Microsoft Entourage” in the menu.
