Tools Needed:

Difficulty Scale:  On a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being very difficult) this is a 2, there are some tight locations and it easy to spill fluid.

Process:

1.) Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface and turn the engine off.  No need to lift the vehicle.

2.) Remove the rear differential oil filler plug and drain plug.  Allow the differential oil to drain into the catch pan.

3.) Once the oil has finished draining, clean the drain plug and reinstall with a new washer,  Tighten to 35 lbf-ft.

4.) Refill the rear differential with Honda Dual Pump Fluid (rear differential oil) to the proper level.

This was the hardest part of the process as there is not much room to work.  I used a small funnel with a hose.  While under the car, I filled up the funnel (while keep the funnel part lower than the end of hose.  I inserted the hose end into the filler hole and lifted the funnel into an open area by the wheel well that was higher than the filler hole.  I had to repeat the process several time.  Take it slow and be patient or you can spill a bunch of the dual pump fluid.

Next time I plan to use a squirt bottle, I imagine it will be much easier.

5.) Reinstall the oil filler plug with a new washer and tighten to 35 lbf-ft.
