This is the inside back cover of the songbook and other information about the simple gospel from the Bible.

Will you be singing bluegrass gospel in Heaven?

That depends entirely on your response.

The Bible says in John 3:3, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again”. Christ died on the cross to rescue us from our sins. Jesus said that when we put our faith in Him, trust in his sacrifice as complete payment for sins committed, we are born again. It means that a life begins in us that will continue past death into eternity with God.

What does that mean to your eternity?

You must first recognize that you are a sinner,  Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  Romans 3:10  “There is no one righteous, not even one.”  Let’s face it, no matter how good a person you may be, chances are the day doesn’t go by without some instance of unkindness, a harsh word, a wrong thought or impure motive, etc.  The truth is, we are all sinners by nature and can’t possibly keep even God’s first commandment of loving Him with our whole heart, mind & spirit.

You cannot earn you way into Heaven, there is no cosmic tally sheet of good and bad deeds that you can depend on. God’s word, the Bible, clearly states in John 14:6;  Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.”

What’s the alternative?

In Rev. 20:15 says,  If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.  Hell is vividly described in God’s word as being a place of never ending torment.  Luke 16: 23 & 24, the account of the Rich Man and Lazarus, says; “in hell, where he was in torment….I am in agony in this fire….”  It’s pretty clear there won’t be music, bluegrass or otherwise, in hell.

What do you need to do?

Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”.  Recognize your helpless condition before God and trust Jesus to rescue you from your sins.  A simple prayer asking Jesus to be your Savior is all that is required to be a child of God. By asking Jesus to save you, you are accepting his gift of salvation through faith. Eph. 2:8 & 9; “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast”.

GRACE - GOD’S RICHES AT CHRIST EXPENSE.

Mans Condition Due to Sin! --- Including the "Romans Road" (In Bold Letters)

Romans 3:12   All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Isaiah 59:2   But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.

Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned--

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in [1] Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are helpless to save ourselves!

Ephesians 2:8-9 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--

9not by works, so that no one can boast.

Titus 3:5  he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,

God Provided a Way!

Romans 5:8-9 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit,

We need to Respond!

Romans 10:9-11 9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.  11As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." [1]

Romans 10:13  for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." [1]

We can have Assurance of Salvation

1 John 5:11-13  11And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.  13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
