Here are some photographs made in and very near to Huntsville, Alabama.
One of the more attractive buildings in downtown Huntsville is the "Times Building". As in most American cities, much of the business activity has moved to the outskirts. The Times Building was vacant for many years, but has recently been restored and is now being occupied.
In the summer of 1999 the Space and Rocket Center museum built a full size model of a Saturn V rocket. The closeup shows a worker standing within struts supporting the escape rocket.
While Huntsville is rapidly growing, there are still many cotton fields in and near the city. The unusual look of this photograph is from using infrared sensitive film.
These thistles grew in Huntsville.
