For those of you that know us the
VW page is just an extension of our daily life. On just about any weekend during the
spring, summer, or early fall you will find us driving in the "Goofy Bus".
Compact & Cozy!
We're in the process of redecoration & restoration. Kathleen's new curtains & the new bright pop up top give our van a fresh new look Mostly we like to spend our time in the So. Cal. deserts & mountains, but we have also gone to the beach & as far as the Grand Canyon for Mother's Day one Spring. It traveled well! The UnOfficial 1978 VW West Bus Club Here is a photo of two 1978 Westy's with some of our favorite people. Present from left to right, Back Row Michael , Half of Rick's face, Darsel, and Patty, Front Row Kayoko, Kathleen, Erin, Cassandra. Wes was taking the photo. Megs must have been chasing a small animal, (she normally can be found under foot.). Other Neat Stuff About Goofy Bus The Goofy Bus is always allot of fun. Here we are with my sister Kimberley. She was out from Colorado on vacation. We were camping at the beach. She also remembers the Bus we had as kids. Here are some pictures of the Original Westy in my life. My parents bought it in Texas in approx. 1974. We spent allot of time the five of us in this marvel of Engineering. In Texas, many a weekend was spent at the numerous lakes camping and fishing. Shortly after that we moved to Germany. While there we did much the same. The big difference was that we would take 2 to 3 week long vacations and travel to the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and all over Germany. Once returned to New Jersey we made at least one last coast to coast jouney to California to visit Family. The Westy was sold in approx. 1979. Note the tent. I am still looking for one. I had a lead from LiMBO, but it was expensive and the people selling it were hard to reach. Kathleen hopes to find a new one someday. Drop us a line if you can help.
