Disclaimer regarding certain of the merchant links

For readers interested in purchasing some of the movies talked about in SFilm, I've tried to provide links, whenever possible, to vendors that sell videos, laser discs, etc., of whatever the topic of discussion is.

Generally, the link is to a very reputable source (like Reel Video or Videoflicks), but occasionally, I have listed an independent source as "unauthorized" or as dealing primarily in "used" product.

Please be advised, that I have provided these links for the CONVENIENCE of the readers. I HAVE NOT PERSONALLY DONE BUSINESS with any of these independent companies, I AM IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH THESE COMPANIES and I DO NOT IN ANY WAY ENDORSE THESE COMPANIES BY PROVIDING A LINK.

If you should purchase something from one of these independent sites and are quite satisfied, please congratulate them, not me. If you are not satisfied for any reason, again, deal directly with the vendor. I don't know them, and couldn't solve your problem.

"Unauthorized" can mean anything from movies which have lapsed into the public domain (meaning nobody technically owns them any more) to "sold from one collector to another" (whatever that means). At any rate, an "unauthorized" dealer is selling goods with no connection to the company or persons who legally own or at one time owned them. There are no quality control checks instituted except from within the independent company themselves. The possibility that the quality of an unauthorized release is below the standards you're accustomed to is quite high.

"Used" resellers, likewise, are dealing in product which may, by its very nature, also be of not the highest quality.

Caveat Emptor, or Buyer Beware. It's just good advice.

If you have any bad experiences with any of these independent companies, don't expect me to intervene, but please let me know. I'm not interested in providing what is essentially free advertising to disreputable dealers.

Thank you for your time.
