Thought for the Day:
"May whatever wisdom I possess glorify God and edify others through my words and writing."-M.

"It is not the difficulty or the length of the journey that matters; rather it is the lessons
you learn when you stumble." 6/26/07

of Parenthood--a minefield of delicate experiments that promises to refine your idea of patience.
To
know the mind of God you must know everything. To find the will of God, all you must do is find faith enough to listen and
follow instructions.
There is no such things
as failure, for the education one receives when one believes he, or she, has lost, often teaches valuable lessons that success
can't. M. Lacina 7/22/05
All of us count. What
we leave behind cannot help to change someone in some way. It's up to us to make the choice to see that the impact we leave
is favorable--and that we have in our power.--M. Lacina 9/08/05
Divine
Providence ensures that there is no such thing as coincidence. M. Lacina 10/11/05
So
many times we look to saving for the future, or taking from the past without acknowledging that we fail to simply relax and
enjoy the present. 11/28/05
Wrinkles are the

Lord, Help me to be rich enough to hire a maid, or blind enough to miss seeing the dirt. M. Lacina

The
God who knows all things from the beginning, recognizes our value and will never desert us because faith is not based on feelings,
but on fact. 2/2/06
Honor and valor appear when men and women serve principles over safety--Memorial Day 2005
We live in a society that expects instant gratifiction. We want to be thin enough, rich enough, supported enough, powerful
enough, smart enough, and loved enough. We want all that so much that we completely dismiss the fact that it's enough to be
who we are. M. Lacina

Christmas Greeting
by
Michele H. Lacina
2005
This e-mail greeting of Christmas cheer
comes out of cyberspace to you this year--
without a card, a stamp, a pen...
cause I'm out of time and money again!
Now, don't you worry, don't you fret,
I'm sure that Santa will see you get,
all that you wish for if he can--
he's such a jolly, happy man.
But, there's another standing by
if consulting him you'd like to try.
Jesus, whose birthday we observe,
the Son who follows God's every word.
He grants us solace, love, and grace,
and meets with us at any place.
He only asks we stop and pray;
employ forgiveness every day.
He loves us all so much you see,
we're reserved a place in eternity.
All we need do is ask him in,
acknowledge that we all have sinned.
Admit he died for you and me,
and just like that He'll set you free.
Free from worry, free from doubt.
Free to smile; to laugh; to shout.
For the gift Christ gives just keeps on giving,
and opens up new ways of living.
He needs no wrapping; one size fits all;
no fighting traffic at a mall.
This year may we all take a break,
from a 'correct' Christmas, for heaven's sake!
Go back to what true Christmas is,
for we have this day cause...JESUS LIVES.
