OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Academy of Voice (AOV) was
established to provide creative music education for its students. To maintain this priority, it is important that students,
(parents) and teachers understand and adhere to the following terms and policies.
|
 |
Academy of Voice Policies
If you’re a first time AOV student, tuition is due “PAID IN FULL” prior to the initial session. All payments
must be received at least 3-days prior to the date of the initial session. Any payments not received 3-days prior will result
in the loss of the reservation.
Once a time slot has been selected, it shall become the student’s time slot for the duration of their lesson cycle.
Necessary changes to time slots can be made, but are based on availability. Changes made to time slots in mid-cycle will not
affect the current cycle’s tuition due date.
For continuing or FULL TIME students tuition is due on a revolving basis, and is not affected or adjusted by missed or
cancelled sessions. Tuition payments are due 3 days after the final session of the current cycle. Students are given a hard
copy invoice at the time of the current cycle’s final session, with the due date clearly marked for convenience. Payments
are considered ON TIME if received by midnight of the invoiced due date.
Late Payments will not be accepted. Any tuition not received by the midnight of the tuition due date as reflected on the
invoice, will result in the loss of enrollment without further notice. Students wishing to re-apply will be placed on the
waiting list and contacted once an opening becomes available.
If you are unable to attend your reserved lesson, during the week that your
tuition is due, please make a payment online by credit card (PayPal) before your next tuition due date. Tuition Payments
may be made in cash, with a credit card through PayPal or by check made payable to LFN Entertainment, Inc.
Tuition payments are non-refundable.
* If student cannot commit to a minimum of four (4) sessions in succession,
Student should inquire about other “Session Options”.
* All Students shall be considered to be ’Continuing’ unless
notice of withdrawal is given, either verbal or written, prior to the LAST PAID Session of any and all cycles.
CANCELLATION POLICIES
**Please note that Tuition Fees cover ALL reserved lessons regardless of
student presence, absence or cancellation! Make-up lessons will be rescheduled subject to availability and will be at
the teacher's discretion.
There are no refunds or applying (funds of) missed lessons to the upcoming
cycle. A minimum of 24-hour notice is required for cancellation of a scheduled session. Please call your instructor as soon
as you become aware of a conflict with your time slot!
Cancellations must be called in directly to the teacher at least 24 hours
in advance. Contact Linda Nunez / Academy of Voice at 407-948-0197. Voice mail messages may be left and will count as a valid
cancellation.
Email cancellations are not accepted if not acknowledged by the teacher prior
to 24 hours before the lesson. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged for that lesson time (this
includes cases in which the student emailed the teacher, but the teacher did not view the email prior to the 24-hour cutoff
- the student will be charged).
If student is considered lax in attendance continuing enrollment will be
at the discretion of the instructor.
*In the event of an excused absence or cancellation, student (or parent)
will still be responsible for lesson payment. Family emergencies, within
reason, will be taken into consideration.
The instructor will be prepared and present at the Academy of Voice for the
appointed lesson, except in the case of natural disaster, hurricane, or serious personal illness or injury.
If the instructor is unable to keep the appointment, she will make every
attempt to call you at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule or cancel.
ATTENDANCE
Consistency is very important in the study of music. Regular attendance at
your weekly lessons and practicing at least (at least!) 30 minutes per day between lessons is crucial to your development
as an artist.
Please try to be ON TIME for your lesson.
MAKEUP LESSONS
For lessons cancelled due to illness, makeup lessons may be scheduled
at the discretion of the instructor.
*Please note that any approved makeup sessions will be scheduled
within the next upcoming cycle.
*Important: Lessons 'missed' DO
NOT affect Tuition DUE DATES!
Students who cancel lessons for reasons other than illness will be charged
for the lesson and no makeup lesson will be scheduled. Tuition fees are
non-refundable.
SUSPENSION OF LESSONS
If student requires a lapse or suspension of lessons for more than a two
(2) week period, student will lose reserved time slot and tuition fees may be forfeited if lessons cannot be rescheduled within
the Lesson Cycle or the Following Lesson Cycle. Tuition fees are non-refundable.
LESSON OPTIONS
“Brush-up” Sessions may be scheduled, at the discretion of the instructor, based upon availability, and tuition
will be decided on a per student basis.
- These Sessions will be based upon the Tuition Option #1, however, there will be more flexibility
in the scheduling terms (i.e. every other week, once a month, etc.).
- Tuition for any Sessions taken on a less frequent basis (i.e. every other week, once a month, etc.) is an additional
$10 per hour.
*Tuition fees are non-refundable. All Tuition fees due at time of Registration!
HOLIDAYS
The Academy of Voice observes the following holidays. Students will not be scheduled or charged for lessons on these
days.
- New Year's Eve
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
Students and parents are asked to understand that, because the instructor continues to be an active performer, occasionally
scheduling conflicts will arise, making it necessary to re-schedule or suspend lessons for a short time. In these cases, ample
notice will be provided, and every effort will be made to offer make-up lessons.
