It belongs to Jack Woodruff and it's a 1959. It started life as a hardtop, was wrecked in the back end and a car dealer had it and customized it into a pickup, adding 13 inches to the back end to give it more of a pickup bed and used it for a parts chaser in his business. Somewhere along the line he abandoned it and was found in a back yard by Vane Walter of Tacoma, Wash. in 1985 in pretty bad shape and had it restored in time for the 1986 Metropolitan National in Tacoma, Wash. It has not been redone since then. In Nov. 2002 Jack and his wife Bobbie purchased it from Vane when he decided to sell it. He trailered it to Michigan this past July to the Metropolitan National and got a second place in the custom/modified division with it. They hope to repaint it and have some chrome redone to it in time for the 2005 National in Astoria, Oregon.
