EXPLANATION OF ENHANCED VIEWING: 1991
This is a copy of the flyer that was given in 1991 to the
industry people
in Hollywood who came to see the military laser projector demonstration.
Metatron is setting up a global closed-circuit network called MetaStar. MetaStar acts as the management company, leasing laser projectors to sites (affiliates). Metatron sells projectors to a holding company, which holds exclusive rights to the laser projector in order to guarantee exclusive territory and licensing rights.
Metatron also manages tours, theatrical productions and the MetaShell production auditoriums and facilities. Metatron markets the laser projectors with the added value that each customer demands for their individual needs. Metatron is a systems house that designs, maintains and installs the systems. This could be accompanied under a partnering agreement with an entity such as Panavision. Metatron also upgrades as system advances are made.
Metatron works with a strategic partner to set up MetaZones (small interactive shopping center theaters), MetaSphere (domes), Warp Zones (theme buildings), Meta-Light 3D billboards). MetaRama (Omni theaters) or a grouping of the above venues for location based entertainment or theme parks.
Metatron works with the assembly manufacturing company to build laser projectors to the specifications of the customer. The MetaRama projector to replace 70 MM film is different than the projectors for simulators or the high-end home market.
In order for a closed-circuit network to exist, there must be high definition digital programming. This programming is more exceptional, if it is not just television. We want the audience, when they see the projected image, to be excited about a new way of seeing, we call Digitron. This brings audiences to the MetaSites, which means added revenue for the site owner. Digitron can only be seen laser projected at the Sites. The programs can, however, also be shown with regular projection, but not with the dimensional effect.
Digital equipment for video production, graphics, sound and transmission will be used in this model. Metatron, as the management company, will look carefully at the participation from vendors, through strategic alignment, investment credit in the separate research and development arm, or special equipment deals.
The research and development company legally protects the inventor and the licensing and patents brought to the consortium. The inventor gets direct royalties for the use of their intellectual properties.
These are the areas where enhanced viewing is stressed:
1. Staging techniques’
2. Production techniques
3. Simulation realities
4. Back set techniques
5. Immersive worlds
These techniques aligned with laser-projected sets, are affordable and equipped with off the shelf product, allows the audience to define, enter, and interact with 3D worlds in real time. The interactive software uses body suit techniques, cad/cam solid modeling software, motion control, sensors, graphic systems, composting and holographic techniques, and simulation laser projected nodules. Forms of stereographic media and live action interact computer animation.
Also we bring dimensional optical system so that the image projected through the laser projector appears dimensional and is always in focus from foreground do background, unlike regular film and video. This technique through high-resolution input through the projector creates images as the eye actually sees them. It is this break through in the laser-projected image that we call Digitron.
Thus the enhanced viewing has key features:
1. Enhances visual imagery as to clarity, brightness, resolution, color, contrast.
2. Creates an image that projects dimensionally (depth) which is greatly enhanced through specifically designed digital software.
3. Processes information digitally which allows total manipulation of the visual medium. This process is totally compatible with computers animation and therefore more cost effective.
4. Systems integration: the essence of the total digital system integration is “infrastructure integration”. (groupware). And “platform integration” (compatibility between different hardware).
“Group ware” is software applications designed for use with all physical sites e.g. MetaSites (sites), MetaShells (production facilities and auditoriums), and WarpZones (Theme buildings, location based entertainment and theme parks).
Also programming produced in the MetaShells is delivered live or pre-packages to the MetaSites for the “Network” programming and shown on the Global MetaStar channel. The MetaSites also sever as venues for production. WarpZones (theme venues) incorporate content from both the MetaShells and MetaSites into their theaters and simulation venues.
This provides total concept integration. When combining the group ware concept with the hardware connectivity factor, it creates a total system. This system is designed to be open-ended or adaptable to future technology breakthroughs with regard to laser projection, holography, three-dimensional realities, software applications, and further change by the client.
