December 24, 1998, while staying at the vineyard of Petroio, near Siena, Italy, I became aware of my deeper commitment to prayer. Practicing the Presence, detaching from the ups and downs, comings and goings - the appearances of the outer world, had become my way of being. I was consciously choosing to experience peace, joy and harmony.

I decided to use the small chapel on the property, which was locked and in need of repair, as a spiritual symbol representing the portal to the Global Heart. The thought came to me that the chapel could be an art-prayer project demonstrating spiritual awareness.

Immediately, things began to take form. Pamela and Gian Luigi Lenzi, the owners of Petroio, said that they had been thinking about the chapel for some time. The possibility of restoring it to its sacred and honored place in the landscape was important to them.
I returned home to Venice, CA, not knowing what would happen, but looking forward to infinite possibility and sensing that I had caught a glimpse of a divine idea. All that I need to do is to continue to see the perfection and wholeness of the idea, and that I could do my prayer work anywhere!

Through visioning, the process of evoking one's divine purpose, I realized my gift to share, with a world so wanting to know its perfection, is my love of silent meditation and prayer revealing perfection, beauty, peace and harmony, when outward appearances seem to be to the contrary.

By using the extraordinary Global Mind, the Internet Web, I hope to reveal a Global Heart which is willing and ready to respond to all who wish to enter the sanctuary of their own heart space. All prayer requests are given immediate attention and the Chapel at Petroio restoration project may be followed on line.

Welcome to the portal to the Global Heart.

"We have been very busy at Petroio. Last weekend a group of friends came to help us clean out the Chapel. It was a lot of hard work and MUCH elbow grease went into the project; however the results are wonderful and rewarding! We took lots of photos. I will send copies on to you.

It was so wonderful to be able to go into that ancient church and sit down to pray. The space has a very spiritual feeling and I could almost feel the happiness it emanated at being fresh and clean.

Giacomo Franceschini has taken the information I have about the church and will do further research regarding the origin and history in preparation for the eventual restoration. From the information that I have, the church is called S. Michele Arcangiolo di Petroio and was first mentioned in 1074 when the Emperor Arrigo IV confirmed that this church was under the jurisdiction of the Badia Fiorentina.

My source is a book written by a priest in the 1800's regarding all the parochial churches in the Siena area. Our parish priest graciously loaned me the book for the photocopies. The reading is a little archaic so it is taking some time to get through.

Love and prayers always, Pamela"
