Greetings Everyone,

As some of you may already know I spent last saturday night in the hospital
because I was experiencing chest pains. Over the last two weeks I have been experiencing chest pains and pressure around my chest. I had no idea what was wrong with me and I was hesitant to go to the doctor because I'm in the process of getting health insurance. Late saturday night I started feeling really bad and I had no choice but to go to the hospital. The doctor told me that it wasn't my heart and that I wasn't having a heart attack. What I have is acid reflux and the symptoms for this often mimics heart attacks. The doctor told me that I need to cut down on spicy foods and that I shouldn't eat right before I go to bed.

Another strange but true thing that happened to me right before I went to the hospital was someone placed a plastic owl right in front of my front door. As you guys know owls have a lot of different meanings associated with them and one of them is DEATH. So you can imagine how I felt when I opened the door to my home and saw a scary looking owl staring at me. Well as it turns out my mother put the owl there to keep the birds away from the house, she of course didn't bother to tell me this until sunday morning when we were at the hospital. I was beginning to wonder if the GODS were telling me it's time to go.

Now that this ordeal is over with I will be concentrating more on my health than ever before. I will be getting some form of insurance asap and I will stop eating all the junk food I've been eating all my life. I think that it was no coincidence that I first started feeling really bad friday night at the movie theater when I saw Willie and the Chocolate Factory (chocolate is on the list of junk foods I should avoid eating). My mother has acid reflux also and she will be helping me change my eating habits. I think that I will be spending some time eating at the OM Cafe in the near future that will hopefully keep my new diet in check.
