Our dinner get-together on Sunday, September 2, 2001

Our dinner get-together was a great success. We managed to fill up the parking lot. We had eight Montego GT's. Four of them were mine: the yellow 72, red 73, yellow 73, white 73. The blue 72 belongs to Ken Keller from Gettysburg, PA. The red 72 belongs to Norman and Phyllis Richards of Vinton, VA. The white 73 in the foreground belongs to Tony Patierno of Matoaca, VA. The black 73 (not pictured above) belongs to Dean Sasek of Chesterfield, VA. Also in attendance were Todd and Karen Brooks from Elgin Air Force base in FL, David and Heather Compton from Martinsville, VA and Bert Kolesar and family from Richmond, VA.

Everyone started arriving at about 1:00. It was really exciting to see those Montego GTs coming down the road and pulling into the parking lot. The weather was great and everyone had a good time. We talked for hours, ate dinner around 5:00 and everyone started to depart around 8:00. Someone said that it might be the only time this many Montego GTs were together since they were on the new car lots. I doubt that any Mercury dealership in 72 or 73 ever had this many Montego GT's on it at any one time.
