From the time we are a small child, we are invited to see the world in a certain way. First it is as our parents see
it. Just as they pass on their genes, they pass on their concerns, their philosophy, their religion and their political persuasion
Then we are invited into the social world of our contemporaries. Our reality becomes influenced
by social concerns and peer pressure. As we grow, we select ideas and impressions that seem to work for us. Alternately, we
may choose to rebel against authority and reject these invitations. This is largely because we do not see the invitations
as fitting the reality we are creating.
As time passes and our personal operational reality gels, we find ourselves struggling with
those whose realities have gelled differently. Now we begin to have more and more difficulty in our relationships as we get
more diverse in our interests and understanding
The result is the continual outgrowth and diversification
of a populace until the society reaches a limitation that halts its progression. Now, everyone being alienated and suspicious
of "others", the society begins to disintegrate as each splinter group seeks to protect its own accomplishments, security
and concerns.
