Quince is already making things colorful around town. This specimen was blooming near the Kiroli Lodge last year.

This greenery will soon bear our native yellow iris.

Tulip leaves are already visible among the pansy beds near the Gatehouse.

Wild carrot foliage was poking through the leaf litter.

mahonia flowers.

One bird-planted Mahonia was blooming beside the trail.

may-apple sprouts.

The tiny white points pushing through the surface will soon become the umbrella-shaped leaves of the May-apple.
