Dr. Ismail Omar Hindash
November 5, 1947 (January 18, 1948) - January 18 2006
Beloved husband, son, father, and friend
Born of Omar and Zaghluli in Palestine. The family was displaced in the 1950s and settled in Amman, Jordan. Ismail
went to college in Cairo Egypt before coming the US in 1975. Ismail attended college at the University of Colorado,
Denver, and the University of New Mexico, Albequerque. He completed a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from CUD in
1985. Ismail became a proud and loving father to Alexandra in June 1986. His employment included McDonnell Douglas
in St. Louis Missouri and Chair of the Computer Programming Department in Devner, CO. Ismail and I came together in
2000 and married in June 2001.
Ismail was preceded in death by his father Omar, sister Horia, and brother Yusef. He is survived by his mother
Zaghluli, 97, brothers Abdullah, Ahmed, and Abbas and families all of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; his daughter Alex, step-daughter
Sara and all of our special foster children!
Ismail is greatly missed.
I sit and wonder - Did the sun still rise before there was you? Did the birds sing as sweetly in
the morn? Did the grasses moist with morning dew make the bed for sweet roses born? Did
the wind whisper quiet secrets of love? Did the air, its sweetness bring? Did the clouds that float so white
above, make the soft beds where angels sing? Did the trees reach out with loving bough? Did
the heart alone feel the blessed unity? Did the love that grows within us now make our lovers bed through
infiniti?

February Dust
February dust settles all around
a quiet calm lives here
the peace
before the raging winds
will sweep the dusting clear
After the rush of winter's fun

The Light
I lay here in this darkened room
the candle is burning low;

As candles flames she dances

Awakening my soul, her slumber once was deep
Just below my navel, in silence she

So calm the surface
