Thought for the day:
Be kind. Kindness is an essential action on the road of happiness. It is impossible for any one being to achieve happiness without including the happiness of all to which we belong. Life is a collective. Together we reach utopia; not apart; and certainly not at the expense of others. So be kind; be conscious in your actions that you are not in any way harming another's journey. Remember happiness is not a place at which to arrive; it is a manner of travel.

Rosa rubrifolia

A ROSE
Sometimes I feel my life is unfolding
like the gentle and delicate rose
To patiently wait as each moment arrives
and beauty through each moment grows.
Sometimes I savor each little change
as the bud so carefully blooms
To make each day a reflection of me
adorned in my beautiful plumes.
Sometimes I lose sight of the day
and yearn for tomorrow to be
To see all the beauty I hope that I am
forgetting I'm already free.
Sometimes I forget that it is the journey
through life that happiness knows
To beautifully live each day as I go
becoming a beautiful rose!

The Precipice

At the edge of the precipice I stand;
above is blue sky, below is land;
ahead you are waiting, extended hand.

At the edge of the precipice I wait;
a desperate attempt to rule fate;
this moments arrival, seemingly late.

At the edge of the precipice I cry;
wondering if love's worth one more try;
tears of life’s fountain to never run dry.

At the edge of the precipice I call;
my hearts song echoes above all;
please promise to catch me when I fall.

At the edge of the precipice I see;
all of the happiness forever to be;
all of the love your heart holds for me.

At the edge of the precipice I dare;
as I step forward into mid- air;
my footing made sure because you are there.

Dirt Road

Silent Wind

Oh silent wind, sing to my soul
reach into my heart
find a way to make it whole
rebuild the missing part

Oh silent wind, you fill my ear
with the music of the day
find a way to keep it near
discover another way

Oh silent wind, you sing so sweet
coloring all I see
find the wings beneath my feet
and sing with all that's ME!

A Day in the Woods

A day in the woods
just you and me
the wonder of all
the we can be
to hear the wind
rustle the tree
find the flower
with the buzzing bee
pictures in clouds
that flow so free
the songs of birds
playing happily
such beauty to hear,
to feel, to see
A day in the woods
just you and me
