Fun events are themed days to encourage people to bring out special models or types of models and fly them. These events are held at our normal launches along with regular normal launching. One aspect of the fun is that you get to see models you may never have seen before!
Check back often since we'll add more throughout the year. If you want to suggest an event, do so at our get-together after each Santa Fe Dam launch at the Jack-In-The-Box.
2009 FUN EVENTS:
January 3: C or D Eggloft Duration*.
January 18: B Boost Glider Duration and OddRocs (weird and crazy looking rockets).
February 7: A Boost Glider Duration and A Streamer Duration.
February 15: C Eggloft Duration* and Micromaxx models of all types.
March 7: 1/2A Parachute Duration, Helicopter recovery rockets.
March 15: 1/2A Streamer Duration, Flying saucers and Micromaxx models of all types.
April 4: B Eggloft Duration* and Micromaxx models of all types.
April 26: 1/2A Streamer Duration, Flying saucers and Micromaxx models of all types.
May 2: 1/4A Parachute Duration, Helicopter recovery rockets and Micromaxx models of all types.
May 17: Mars Landers or any other rocket with a "lander" section and Micromaxx models of all types.
June 7: A Helicopter Duration.
June 20: A Rocket Glider Duration
July 11: Scale, Science Fiction and Futuristic/Future Scale.
July 25: Saturn V, Saturn 1B, Apollo Little Joe II models.
August 1: C Streamer Duration.
August 22: C Eggloft Duration* and Micromaxx models of all types.
September 5: B Rocket Glider Duration.
September 20: Flying saucers and Micromaxx models of all types.
October 3: D Eggloft Duration*.
October 18: OddRocs.
November 7: Science Fiction, Futuristic/Future Scale.
November 15: A Streamer Duration, Helicopter recovery rockets.
December 5: B Eggloft Duration and Micromaxx models of all types.
December 20: 1/4A Parachute Duration, Boost Gliders of all types.
