Fun events are themed days to encourage people to bring out special models or types of models and fly them. These events are held at our normal launches along with regular normal launching. One aspect of the fun is that you get to see models you may never have seen before!Check back often since we'll add more throughout the year. If you want to suggest an event, do so at our get-together after each Santa Fe Dam launch at the Jack-In-The-Box.
2013 FUN EVENTS:
January 5: C or D Eggloft Duration* and Flying Saucers.
January 20: B Boost Glider Duration and Scale.
February 2: A Rocket Glider Duration and B Streamer Duration.
February 10: C Dual Eggloft Duration* or Altitude (provide your own trackers).
March 2: 1/8A (MicroMaxx) Parachute Duration, B Eggloft Duration*.
March 3: 1/2A Streamer Duration, Flying Saucers and MicroMaxx models of all types.
April 6: 1/8A (MicroMaxx) Parachute Duration and MicroMaxx models of all types.
April 21: 1/4A Helicopter Duration, Flying saucers and MicroMaxx models of all types.
May 4: 1/4A Parachute Duration, C Dual Eggloft Duration* or Altitude (provide your own trackers) and MicroMaxx models of all types.
May 19: Mars Landers or any other rocket with a "lander" section and MicroMaxx models of all types.
June 15: 1/4A, 1/2A Helicopter Duration.
June 29: A Rocket Glider Duration
July 6: Scale, Science Fiction and Futuristic/Future Scale.
July 13: Saturn V, Saturn 1B, Apollo Little Joe II models.
August 3: C Streamer Duration.
August 24: C Eggloft Duration* and Micromaxx models of all types.
September 7: B Rocket Glider Duration.
September 22: Flying saucers and Micromaxx models of all types.
October 5: D Eggloft Duration*.
October 20: OddRocs.
November 2: Science Fiction, Futuristic/Future Scale.
November 17: A Streamer Duration, Helicopter recovery rockets.
December 7: B Eggloft Duration and Micromaxx models of all types.
December 15: 1/4A Parachute Duration, Boost Gliders of all types.
